It was difficult to get off the drive on foot, so having a car was necessary to access local amenities. The static caravan was surrounded by farm animals on three sides, which meant our dogs couldn't be let off the lead.

They accommodated our request for a late check-out without any issue. The caravan itself was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the owners had provided little extras like milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. The well-maintained mobile home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the stunning views from the outside decking area, where we experienced some breathtaking sunsets. The rural location was perfect for a peaceful getaway, and it was just a short drive to Newton Stewart and the beautiful Galloway Forest Park. The house itself was a true gem, with a spacious kitchen and a sunny conservatory where we could enjoy our meals. What impressed us the most was the well-equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed including a blender and a potato peeler, something you don't often find in holiday accommodations. The washer dryer was also a great convenience, allowing us to do laundry before heading home. We were thrilled to have an enclosed garden for our dogs to play in, and the travel cot provided for our baby was a fantastic bonus. The nearby dog walks were perfect for exercise, and the barbecue in the garden allowed us to enjoy some outdoor cooking. we loved our stay at Barnkirk Holidays Villa and would definitely choose to stay there again if we find ourselves needing accommodation in the area.
